This story begins with a young British lady travelling to Kenya, falling in love and spending her entire life changing her community for the better. Sarah Higgins, lives on the shores of Lake Naivasha and has dedicated her life to preserving Lake Naivasha. As we sat on Sarah’s veranda, her words of wisdom captivated us and challenged us to take initiative. In the face of seemingly insurmountable barriers, she offered these wise words: “Be small, stay small and you will get work done”. This quote opened our eyes to our individual potential. One’s determination can stimulate change and no one’s vision is too small to make a difference.
